.::.~Life in the Country~.::.

We have been living in our new house for two years now.  Crazy to think that it's been two years already!  It doesn't quite feel like we just moved in, but it also doesn't feel like it's been that long yet; time flies by, that's for sure!
Living out in the country has been an adjustment.  I always lived in the suburbian area of the outskirts of the city, and there were some open fields and farmland, but nothing like out here!  Our location is absolutely perfect: far enough, but not too far, out into the country where we can enjoy the open space and aren't crowded in a neighborhood, but then we're close enough to big suburb areas that we can do our shopping and everything in familiar places.  Even with this closeness of suburbs, there are new experiences and 'friends' out here in the country.  When the farmers harvest the fields around us (seriously, we live in the middle of a cornfield), the lovely critter known as a mouse takes residence in our home.  Mice are a no no.  I don't do mice.  Along with our friends who decide to invade, there are some smells out here that accompany the existence of cows and the farms.  I've been told it's 'fresh air', but really....it smells more like a giant diaper that was sitting under a heat lamp.

Anywho, here are some of the images I've captured this spring/summer.  Enjoy (:

.::.~Time at the Zoo~.::.

I figured it was about time for me to post on here (:  After all, that's the point of a blog is it not??  So here I am, posting.

I wanted to share some images from my trip to the zoo.  I spend a lot of time at the zoo, as I was a volunteer from the summer of 2008 until this past summer and I absolutely loved it.  The zoo as a whole is just an amazing place, and it's always felt like a second home to me - I've been comfortable there and it was a major part of my teenage years helping me become who I am today, so I decided to get a paying job there this summer.

As a volunteer, and now an employee, I spend a lot of time there, but I don't get to enjoy my time there as a 'pleasure' as a visitor.  Well, as my brother and sister are now teen volunteers, their shift started an hour and a half before mine, so I took the time to walk around and capture some fun images.  I'm pretty happy with the shots I got!

Enjoy (:

~Moments of Life~

~The moments of life can be captured in a time frame, always worth a thousand words.~

I'm starting this blog as to show what I can do.  From nature shots, to senior pictures and family sessions, I love capturing the moments of life.

I'm hoping to keep up with this blog, as professionally as possible!  Thanks for visiting it and I hope you continue to check up on me and my photography!

Thanks!
