We have been living in our new house for two years now. Crazy to think that it's been two years already! It doesn't quite feel like we just moved in, but it also doesn't feel like it's been that long yet; time flies by, that's for sure!
Living out in the country has been an adjustment. I always lived in the suburbian area of the outskirts of the city, and there were some open fields and farmland, but nothing like out here! Our location is absolutely perfect: far enough, but not too far, out into the country where we can enjoy the open space and aren't crowded in a neighborhood, but then we're close enough to big suburb areas that we can do our shopping and everything in familiar places. Even with this closeness of suburbs, there are new experiences and 'friends' out here in the country. When the farmers harvest the fields around us (seriously, we live in the middle of a cornfield), the lovely critter known as a mouse takes residence in our home. Mice are a no no. I don't do mice. Along with our friends who decide to invade, there are some smells out here that accompany the existence of cows and the farms. I've been told it's 'fresh air', but really....it smells more like a giant diaper that was sitting under a heat lamp.
Anywho, here are some of the images I've captured this spring/summer. Enjoy (:
